Divisional ticket checking staff safely reunites girl with her family | KNO

Jammu, Oct 15 (KNO): The divisional ticket checking staff has safely reunited a girl with her family after she got separated during a journey. “During routine ticket checking on Train No. 13151 Sealdah Express, Brajraj Kumar, Ticket Inspector, Jammu Division (headquartered in Pathankot), found a minor girl traveling without a valid ticket,” a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said. Upon investigation, the statement reads that it was found that the girl had got separated from her family during the journey. “Ticket checking staff, Brajraj Kumar, promptly and sensitively ensured her safety. He coordinated with female TTE staff in Jammu and safely handed her over to her family for further care,” the statement reads. The Jammu Control Room and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) were immediately informed and necessary action was taken to ensure the girl's safe return to her family. Recognizing this commendable act, the Division's Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Uchit Singhal, said, “This incident not only reflects the dedication of railway personnel to their official duties, but also their deep compassion and sense of social responsibility.” Indian Railways commended Brajraj Kumar's vigilance, integrity and humanity, which exemplify the true spirit of railway service – connecting people, ensuring safety and maintaining public trust—(KNO)
